Top 5 Taylor Swift Songs of All Time
Alright Swifties, buckle up, because we're about to go through Taylor Swift's entire music catalogue and bring up her 5 best songs of all time.
Note that I compiled this personal best-of list based on a few factors: how often I listened to these songs on repeat, how catchy I find them, and how they make me feel when I listen to them.
So without further ado, let's dive right in!
5. Look What You Made Me Do
Right off the bad, I'm jumping in with a controversial pick, which is why I'm putting Look What You Made Me Do in spot number 5. Taylor Swift's Reputation album was either loved or hated by many people, mostly due to the drastic change in musical style, highlighting darker tones and more minor scales. That is actually why I find Look What You Made Me Do so delicious!
The song is all about revenge and karma, and while this song was all about threatening Taylor Swift's naysayers, the song and music video were extremely introspective and I admire Taylor for taking back the narrative of her public image and playing into it, especially at a time when she was receiving so much negative press. I think that's a lesson we can all learn from. Take the hate and make art.
The song itself is so catchy, albeit repetitive, but I would gladly walk down the aisle to this song, singing "Oooh, look what you made me do, look what you made me do, look what you just made me do, look what you just made me do!" Wedding anthem, yes please!
4. Me!
The first single off of Taylor Swift's Lover album came in full blast with rainbows, butterflies and sunshine, and my god I live for it!
This song is another one that many either love or hate, as it is also simplistic lyrics-wise and has a bridge that screams "hey kids, spelling is fun!" For me though, that campy, funtastic vibe of this whole song is what always puts me in a good mood! It's the type of song I love to belt out on a sunny day as I'm driving or while I'm getting ready in the morning. Plus, the message in the song is classic, be yourself, because there'll never be another like you!
3. You Belong With Me
This is one of the first songs that really made me notice Taylor Swift. I had heard of some of her earlier country songs off her first self-titled album, but I hadn't paid much notice to her until she started transitioning to pop music. While You Belong With Me is part of her Fearless album, an album that I would not consider a pop album, this song stands out to me for its timeless theme of high school crushes while the video is iconic with its girl-next-door vibe.
Love this song!
2. 22
How many times have I listened to this song in my life?! 22 off of Taylor Swift's Red album was my jam for a solid year, back when I was, you guessed it, 23 years old! Yes, I missed the boat on this one when I actually was 22, but I blame that on the fact that Taylor and I are a few months apart when it comes to our birthdays. The moment this bop dropped, I was belting this one out daily, enjoying life and my youth. There really is something so carefree about being 22, when the world is still full of possibility and you aren't jaded by adulthood.
This song will always take me back to summers by the pool, dancing on tables and annoying my parents with this song on repeat!
1. Style
Let me start by saying that Style off of Taylor Swift's 1989 album is iconic for so many reasons. Before even talking about the song, 1989 is arguably Taylor's best album to date as it was her first official pop album that shattered records across the world. This new sound sold me on becoming a hardcore Swiftie.
Style has the perfect mix of pop synth, lyrical mastery that Taylor is known for and a tempo that isn't too upbeat, but not too slow either that you feel like you're listening to a balad. It's the type of song you just want to strut to, while embracing your own individual style.

No matter your favorite Taylor Swift song, I think we can all agree that she makes the task of choosing impossibly difficult.
Swifties out!
